PayKit at Retail EXPO 2026

On October 29–30, Kyiv will host Retail EXPO, the tenth annual congress of the retail industry. PayKit is taking part as an expo partner. At our stand in the Expo zone, you can try the “scan and pay” scenario yourself on a self-checkout and see how the same platform runs on different hardware.

About the event

Retail EXPO takes place at Pochayna Event Hall. According to the organizers, the congress brings together more than 500 participants from 300+ retail companies: 40% are CEOs and owners, and 60% are heads of marketing, HR, development and commercial departments.

The first day’s program is devoted to point-of-sale automation: self-checkouts, mobile payment scenarios, offsetting staff shortages with technology, and calculating the economic effect of automation.

What we will show at the stand

We are focusing on the self-checkout. We have recently received many requests for it from retail chains, so the stand will feature a working demo: visitors will scan items and pay for their purchase themselves.

Next to it, we will show that different tasks don’t require different systems. The following all run on a single PayKit platform:

• self-checkout;
• a classic checkout with horizontal and vertical interfaces;
• accepting payments from a mobile device without a separate terminal.

In other words, the hardware is chosen to fit the store’s needs, while the software stays the same.
