PayKit participated in the 8th German-Ukrainian Business Forum, which took place on December 15, 2025 in Berlin, at the Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft. The company was represented at the event by Svitlana Milgan. The forum is one of the key international business events that brings together Ukrainian and German companies, state institutions and investors around the topics of economic cooperation, sustainability and the recovery of Ukraine.

The event brought together about 500 participants and once again confirmed its role as a strategic platform for the development of Ukrainian-German business partnerships and the integration of Ukrainian companies into the EU market.

Ukrainian IT companies entering the German market: key challenges

One of the central topics of the German-Ukrainian Business Forum was the discussion of the challenges of Ukrainian IT companies entering the German market. Participants openly spoke about the high conservatism of the German business environment, complex regulatory processes and high barriers to entry for new players.

At the same time, an important signal was the awareness of these problems on the part of German business and institutions. Representatives of the German side emphasized their readiness to support Ukrainian companies in the adaptation process – through partnerships, consulting assistance and joint projects.

Support for Ukraine and the role of German business

During the forum, the sincere position of German business in supporting Ukraine was clearly felt. It was not only about economic interests, but also about the awareness of responsibility and the understanding that Germany can and should play a more active role in supporting Ukrainian companies.

This support was manifested both at the institutional level and in informal discussions – through the readiness for personal interaction, exchange of experience and practical assistance to Ukrainian business.

“Resilience in Action – Partnership in Progress”: focus of the forum

The forum was held under the slogan “Resilience in Action – Partnership in Progress” and was dedicated to:

  • Ukraine’s economic resilience,
  • the role of the private sector in reconstruction,
  • industrial transformation,
  • promising areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany.

These topics are particularly relevant for companies operating in the areas of fintech, retail-tech and digital solutions for business.

PayKit and the development of fintech solutions in the EU market

For PayKit, participation in the German-Ukrainian Business Forum is an important step in developing the company’s international presence and expanding cooperation with European partners. The event was an opportunity to present PayKit’s vision for the development of fintech and retail-tech solutions adapted to the requirements of the European market.

International forums of this level are key to forming long-term partnerships and strengthening the positions of Ukrainian technology companies in the EU.

Thanks to the organizers and the Ukrainian IT delegation

PayKit expresses gratitude to the organizers of the German-Ukrainian Business Forum from the German side — GIZ, German Eastern Business Association and Growd Ukraine Invest GmbH and also from Ukrainian — Edward Fast, Kateryna Smolyanyuk and Kharkiv IT Cluster — for the invitation and the opportunity to join the delegation of Ukrainian IT companies.

Conclusion

A close-knit, open, and motivated community of participants, an atmosphere of professional support and exchange of experience made this forum a valuable platform for the development of Ukrainian-European business dialogue.
